Phew !! Its really strange that  it  takes  a build up as lame as the one above to take a blogger like me out from hibernation . Self-Motivation , u see . Every one Needs motivation . And when there is no one to motivate u . You have do all on your own   . Now that cheer girls have stopped Chanting my name let me come to the main idea of the post.

This has been my longest absence from the blogosphere . I really missed all Your blogs and i guess u must have missed my valuable ,enlightning and entertaining posts too . Never mind ! Now that i am back , your Ultimate source of Entertainment is back Online .

A Lot has happened in a span of month . Yet it seems  so vague that i will have to search for words to fill it up here . Sometimes i feel that the world has narrowed down  much within a time of 2 months .Home to office , Office to home . Ofcourse they pay me but it still seems so odd . Huh !! May be i need more time to adjust with my Korporate Konnection . Anyways  i dont intend to write my tantrums out here . So lets talk something interesting . Cricket ???  . WHy not  !! . Well,  India creating history in NewZeland by winning a series after 41 years is not what i am going to talk about .:P They are creating “history” far too often now that it has started to become little monotonous now . The interesting thing is that HIPL (Hewitt internal peremiar league) is going on at my office . The good news is that my team (vennila cricket kuzhu ) is through to super six . Now how good would it feel to hit  a six as the winning shot . Thats what i did and my team members have found their new hero . Well , you see i have a natural flair for the game . Lucky that i have a blog where i can blow my own trumpet . And we have formed Vennila kabbadi kuzhu also  . I am sure we would be atleast runner up in that . It seems there are only 2 teams that have registered inluding my team .

I have regained my old love and passion for books    .  Although i dont get much time but still i have been making it a point to read atleast 30-40 pages  daily .Currently reading The White Tiger and now i am able to realize why people were going ga-ga over this book . Bought Robin cook’s  Invasion . Anyone here who has read that book ?? A short review would be  fine in the comment section . Talking about books , Yesterday one of my collegues came  across my blog .She was hell-bent on insisting me that IT field is not my cup of tea. .According to her I should ,perhaps , write a book . Now How crazy is that ?

And Whats all this about Rakhi sawant Getting married On NDTV IMAGINE . I mean Is she  On her minds or what . I knew she was crazy but this is too much .I  need to figure out  a theory which proves  that  Length of dress u wear is  directly proportional to the size of brain .  And May be  now NDTV IMAGINE can flaunt with a big advertizement Rakhi ka SWAYAMWAR – Reality show ka Baap . The show would be the height of crazyness .

New York-based human resources company ORC Worldwide has released a recent survey which has  a list of 55 worst cities to work in world :D . 

and Guess what ?? 3 indian cities have made it to the list …

No surprises  .I am not going to write anything new , infact i have got nothing new .

First of  all I would like to congratulate Ar Rahman and Resul Pookutty for bringing oscars to our country ,something that we badly missed every year. Each and every indian would be proud for what they have managed to achieve . Frankly speaking i never thought we would get oscars .

But ,when A.R.Rehman got nominated i was sure that he would get one atleast . He is a true genius . Starting from Roja for which he won national award ,he has never turned back . The magic he creates in every movie  still amazes me. I can name quite a few movies which ran in theaters just  due to his music .Kollywood -> Bollywood ->Hollywood , Is there anything left unconquered .

Long live rahman  . Jai Ho Rahman !!

Anyways, I would like to put forward some questions . Give me your honest opinion

Both the songs in slumdog were good . But dont you think he (rahman) has infact , given us far better songs in the past ??

No wonder slumdog won the award for best cinematography , I really liked the way the movie was presented ,but did it deserve the award for best motion picture ???

Did You know who Resul pookutty was before he won the oscars ?? (i mean i am not a movie buff so i wasnt aware of him )

Cricket !!! What else ??

A 5-0 series white wash  against India in their own den would have been disastrous for the lankan lions. Thanks to some lousy bowling from indian bowlers and really stupid selection of shots , Sri lanka has been able to save a little pride by winning atleast the last one day match of the series .

India sure is on a roll and i have never been so optimistic about the current cricket team  . Yeah its the  same me who use to talk about the enigmatic indian cricket team and i still stand by my words . Anyways ,lets not talk about that . 5-0 against england and 4-1 here in srilanka is laudable effort considering the team without ganguly,dravid ,harbhajan and even sachin (if u consider that he dint score in two digits in the series ) . The best part being that they have been able to win convincingly and comfortably (Second one dayer was an exception ofcourse ). First time TEAM INDIA is starting to show its real meaning because the team is playing as a unit as for the first time ,not depending upon a individual.

Last couple of months have been quite exciting for Cricket fans like me .Indian cricket team is on second position in ICC cricket ratings for the first time . Yes , for the first time and thats quite a shocker isnt it  ??.A country like  ours  which has given so many great legends to the sport like kapil dev ,sunil gavanskar ,sachin tendulkar ,bishen singh bedi etc , has never been able to reach the second position leave alone the first place . Better Late than never now that we are in 2 , the no1 spot is just a series away . Touchwood

South african team becoming  the no. 1 team and australia moving to 3rd place , Sounds so good rite ?? I mean i was sick of seeing a perfect side like australians had .  I am really happy to see the fall of the mighty australian side .Yes they were the best team and played some fabulous cricket over last decade but then they could never gain my respect ,may be because they were a proud team and had an acute superiority complex . MR . Ponting – i know it must be paining a lot .but thats the way it is . Higher you go , Harder you fall !!

Coming to IPL seasons II , I wonder if the last two letters mean Paisa Lutaao . These so called business tycoons with their so called Girl freinds / cine stars are spending money like hell . The news channels have already raised questions if spending this much is necessary during recession times . I guess ITs there money and and they can very well spend that and i am sure they will get huge returns for that . Thats why they are investing it . So simple logic . All i feel sad for  now is that my DAD is not a Cricketer . If he was one i would have been one too and that way  i would have  made so much money by now and instead of posting a blog post , i would have released a book . I would have been famous . Not to mention that i would have become  a heart throb among the indian girls by now .. and then…….wait a minute i have gone way off the track .. .So where was I ,.. yeah IPL . So I was saying IPL is really merry making time for cricketers . Take for example Peterson and Flintoff , they are getting 1.55 million dollars for 3 weeks .. and Mortaza , the guy from bangladesh valued at 50,000 dollars was auctioned at 650,000 $ ,more than 10 times his value . like we say in tamil ..
