No surprises  .I am not going to write anything new , infact i have got nothing new :P.

First of  all I would like to congratulate Ar Rahman and Resul Pookutty for bringing oscars 😛 to our country ,something that we badly missed every year. Each and every indian would be proud for what they have managed to achieve . Frankly speaking i never thought we would get oscars 🙄 .

But ,when A.R.Rehman got nominated i was sure that he would get one atleast . He is a true genius . Starting from Roja for which he won national award ,he has never turned back . The magic he creates in every movie  still amazes me. I can name quite a few movies which ran in theaters just  due to his music 😛 .Kollywood -> Bollywood ->Hollywood , Is there anything left unconquered .

Long live rahman  . Jai Ho Rahman !!

Anyways, I would like to put forward some questions . Give me your honest opinion 😛

Both the songs in slumdog were good . But dont you think he (rahman) has infact , given us far better songs in the past ??

No wonder slumdog won the award for best cinematography , I really liked the way the movie was presented ,but did it deserve the award for best motion picture ???

Did You know who Resul pookutty was before he won the oscars ?? (i mean i am not a movie buff so i wasnt aware of him )

MILE SUR MERA TUMHARA !!!

I hardly get to watch Tv these days and even when i do  get time , most of it goes by just surfing around the channels . There arent any genuine entertainment programs available these days . All one could see is sick mega soaps where one women plots against another or  the reality shows where people do everything to disgrace themselves in front of public  or lame news channels which covers  a tiger-tigress love story . And living in cities like Chennai doesn’t help either because they bring in some crap Set top system and remove all the good channels saying that they are not free . Now i understand the meaning of Nothing Comes Free.

Let me come to the topic without deviating anymore 😛 .   Changing channels with a stone aged remote is a big pain in the ass hands 😛 . Bang it here ,bang it there and then press the button and it   will work . Thats the mantra for operating the remote  which no one in my home ,except me, understands . So i was changing the channels .. 1 …. bang bang …2… bang bang … ..67 . and then it stopped .I could not beleive my eyes .I was seeing the good old DD channel  in malayalam though . and guess what ??  The channel showed Mile sur mera tumhara ad  . I dint move an inch during the whole song . Even even my mom who was running from one room to another , stopped to watch it .

Created in 1988 by Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad, and promoted by Doordarshan and India’s Ministry of Information , the song still remains in the heart of millions of people . 6 minutes of complete bliss .thats what the song is .A song which describes our country as a whole , which teaches the meaning  of Unity in Diversity ,harmony and National integration .Too bad that no private channels show it anymore when it is most needed.

Political Parties dividing the country for vote bank is not new these days . I think those people should be locked in a room and this song should be played 24×7  😉 .

Ramalinga Raju Admits 7000 Crore Fraud

Satyam Which has been in troubled waters for sometime now suffered the worst blow any company could  get when its chief ramalinga raju confessed that all these years the accounts shared with the share holders and  investors were inflated . Its clear now that  maytas Deal was a cover up used for filling  the gap between the balance sheets and the actual money that was available with the company .

It actually comes as an  absolute shocker that a company as big as satyam which is even listed in New York stock exchange could come under the scanner for a fraud of such a huge sum . ofcourse , thousands employees who make the company aren’t responsible but ultimately its the brand name SATYAM that takes the toll . And the investors and the employees are the ones who suffer in turn .

This news , yesterday, spread like a wild fire and the investors reacted within no time to take out the money . The company  shares had a free fall from a value of  170 to mid 30s , almost77  percent down . This is  expected to go further  down .Somewhere i even read that the shares could touch a value as low as zero .

The repercussions of this whole event Could be huge . Indian market which is already reeling under the effects global recession is gonna get severe blow even though they are going to remove Satyam stocks from NIfty. This Could shoo away lots  of NRI and foreign investors who have been the main reason behind the massive IT development in the last few years. Think about the 50k employees of the company.They are no more secure. and finding a job is difficult these days even for the experienced lot .

And there are around 8ooo freshers (2008 passouts)Who have been recruited by satyam and almst 80 percent of them are yet to join . Being a fresher myself i know how it would feel . Many of them had taken huge loans an the  only way replay was to join Satyam . And now under all these circumstances , chances of them getting joining are very less . And the job market isnt helping either.

After all this when the main culprit ,who is responsible for all this , will be given a punishment he will be out again in bail.I think Its high time that we have stricter  laws for dealing with these kinds of cases . He has played with  thousands of peoples life .

SHABBASH INDIA

Team india  is on a roll. Series win against Australia made them the top contenders to replace worlds best team and now with this improbable win we have just proved that we are almost there .Yes , All we need to do now is to conquer srilankan lions in their own den and to keep up the winning rate abroad.

Mondays win was a special  one. Very special indeed . After those gruesme terror attacks, atleast cricket lovers like me have something to cheer abut. Winning on home soil is no new thing for us . I dont think india had any chances of winning the game till 4th day post lunch session . India was facing a defeat that looked more or less inevitable . Chasing more than 350 runs in the fourth innings n a fifth day pitch is not an easy task .But the brilliant knock by sehwag set opened up the game against all dds . Time and again sehwag has proved how imprtant he is for this indian line up . What t osay about sachin. !! He is  GD . Yes , cricket is a relegion for me like millions f  others and sachin is my GoD . Scoring his 41st hundred through the last winning strke made my day  😀 . I mean  i was tired to see him getting out in 90s. He would have Got more than 100 international hundreds in DI and test combined if he had not been out in 90s . Yuvaraj as usual played his natural game and thats what made easy fr him t scre runs quickly .

.The test has brought in lot of positives fr the indian cricket TEAM. it showed the temperament ,fighting spirit and ability of  indian cricket team to win under any circumstances  .After australia i dont think any team has dominated us in a test  on home soil. England did really well to control 70 percent of the test .They had almost  won the test . Just one session took the game away from them .Strauss played exceptionally well . Hitting two centuries in a same test in n kids job that to in subcontinent.

All in all  it was a wonderfull test match . The best thing was after a long time there was a result in a test match played in chennai 😛 . I just hope our team conitnues the gd form and replace australia as the worlds best team soon 🙂 .

OFF TOPIC :

This is my 200th post . Gosh !! I never thought i would make it this long . Blogging which started as a tool to kill time has become an obsession now . Although i am not posting as regularly as i was , it still remains an important part of my life .
