Phew !! Its really strange that  it  takes  a build up as lame as the one above to take a blogger like me out from hibernation . Self-Motivation , u see 😀 . Every one Needs motivation . And when there is no one to motivate u . You have do all on your own   . Now that cheer girls have stopped Chanting my name let me come to the main idea of the post.

This has been my longest absence from the blogosphere 😦 . I really missed all Your blogs and i guess u must have missed my valuable ,enlightning and entertaining posts too 😀 . Never mind ! Now that i am back , your Ultimate source of Entertainment is back Online :P.

A Lot has happened in a span of month . Yet it seems  so vague that i will have to search for words to fill it up here . Sometimes i feel that the world has narrowed down  much within a time of 2 months .Home to office , Office to home . Ofcourse they pay me but it still seems so odd . Huh !! May be i need more time to adjust with my Korporate Konnection 😛 . Anyways  i dont intend to write my tantrums out here 😛 . So lets talk something interesting . Cricket ???  . WHy not  !! . Well,  India creating history in NewZeland by winning a series after 41 years is not what i am going to talk about .:P They are creating “history” far too often now that it has started to become little monotonous now 😉 . The interesting thing is that HIPL (Hewitt internal peremiar league) is going on at my office 😛 . The good news is that my team (vennila cricket kuzhu ) is through to super six . Now how good would it feel to hit  a six as the winning shot 😛 . Thats what i did and my team members have found their new hero 😀 . Well , you see i have a natural flair for the game . Lucky that i have a blog where i can blow my own trumpet 😛 . And we have formed Vennila kabbadi kuzhu also  😛 . I am sure we would be atleast runner up in that . It seems there are only 2 teams that have registered inluding my team 😛 .

I have regained my old love and passion for books  😛  .  Although i dont get much time but still i have been making it a point to read atleast 30-40 pages  daily .Currently reading The White Tiger and now i am able to realize why people were going ga-ga over this book . Bought Robin cook’s  Invasion . Anyone here who has read that book ?? A short review would be  fine in the comment section 😛 . Talking about books , Yesterday one of my collegues came  across my blog .She was hell-bent on insisting me that IT field is not my cup of tea. .According to her I should ,perhaps , write a book . Now How crazy is that ?

And Whats all this about Rakhi sawant Getting married On NDTV IMAGINE . I mean Is she  On her minds or what . I knew she was crazy but this is too much .I  need to figure out  a theory which proves  that  Length of dress u wear is  directly proportional to the size of brain 😛 .  And May be  now NDTV IMAGINE can flaunt with a big advertizement Rakhi ka SWAYAMWAR – Reality show ka Baap :D. The show would be the height of crazyness 😛 .

Cricket !!! What else ??

A 5-0 series white wash  against India in their own den would have been disastrous for the lankan lions. Thanks to some lousy bowling from indian bowlers and really stupid selection of shots , Sri lanka has been able to save a little pride by winning atleast the last one day match of the series .

India sure is on a roll and i have never been so optimistic about the current cricket team  . Yeah its the  same me who use to talk about the enigmatic indian cricket team and i still stand by my words . Anyways ,lets not talk about that 😛 . 5-0 against england and 4-1 here in srilanka is laudable effort considering the team without ganguly,dravid ,harbhajan and even sachin (if u consider that he dint score in two digits in the series 😛 ) . The best part being that they have been able to win convincingly and comfortably (Second one dayer was an exception ofcourse ). First time TEAM INDIA is starting to show its real meaning because the team is playing as a unit as for the first time ,not depending upon a individual.

Last couple of months have been quite exciting for Cricket fans like me .Indian cricket team is on second position in ICC cricket ratings for the first time . Yes , for the first time and thats quite a shocker isnt it  ??.A country like  ours  which has given so many great legends to the sport like kapil dev ,sunil gavanskar ,sachin tendulkar ,bishen singh bedi etc , has never been able to reach the second position leave alone the first place . Better Late than never now that we are in 2 , the no1 spot is just a series away . Touchwood 😉

South african team becoming  the no. 1 team and australia moving to 3rd place , Sounds so good rite ?? I mean i was sick of seeing a perfect side like australians had 😉 .  I am really happy to see the fall of the mighty australian side .Yes they were the best team and played some fabulous cricket over last decade but then they could never gain my respect ,may be because they were a proud team and had an acute superiority complex . MR . Ponting – i know it must be paining a lot .but thats the way it is . Higher you go , Harder you fall !! 😀

Coming to IPL seasons II , I wonder if the last two letters mean Paisa Lutaao . These so called business tycoons with their so called Girl freinds / cine stars are spending money like hell . The news channels have already raised questions if spending this much is necessary during recession times . I guess ITs there money and and they can very well spend that and i am sure they will get huge returns for that . Thats why they are investing it . So simple logic 😛 . All i feel sad for  now is that my DAD is not a Cricketer 😛 . If he was one i would have been one too and that way  i would have  made so much money by now 😛 and instead of posting a blog post , i would have released a book . I would have been famous . Not to mention that i would have become  a heart throb among the indian girls by now 😛 .. and then…….wait a minute i have gone way off the track .. .So where was I ,.. yeah IPL . So I was saying IPL is really merry making time for cricketers . Take for example Peterson and Flintoff , they are getting 1.55 million dollars for 3 weeks .. and Mortaza , the guy from bangladesh valued at 50,000 dollars was auctioned at 650,000 $ ,more than 10 times his value . like we say in tamil ..

Anyways  lets forget about money . All i want to say is that i cant wait to watch these guys come out and play .

CHENNAI KINGS RIDE OVER THE KOLKATA KNIGHTS

Well , somebody do something before my blog turns entirely into a sports blog 😛 .That was not what i had in my mind while starting this blog 😉 Anyhow cricket is at its best now , not exactly the same old gentelemen’s game but then who cares ?? 🙂 until the game is interesting and has a lot of hot firangi chicks cheering for the game 😆 .

The fact that cricket is not ruhi ‘s cup of tea and she wouldn’t be commenting again makes me sad 😦 she has got this new domain of hers has a pretty decent and neat theme.She has been complaining that i am writng just cricket cricket and cricket : P .Well i really cant help posting abt cricket. Now coming back to the actual content of the post 😛 the match between the knight riders and chennai super kings . The game for which i was eagerly waiting for, perhaps ,many others too . YES ,the battle of the titans . I couldn’t see the the first half of the match live because i had placement and scholarship distribution function in my college 😦 . but yes i did see the highlights part of it and i must say the match turned out to be one sided one .

None of my fellow bloggers are having a good IPL experieance . Ridhimma seems to be in deppression atleast thats what she is saying . All because of her home team could not register even one win till now 😉 . Nothings going right for mumbai team sachin is injured ,jayasurya is not doing anything great and adding to the injury harbhajan has started his usual controversy now in india by slapping sreeshant (the same guy who stares at batsman even when he is hit for a six , was seen to be crying uncontrollably ).Anyways , i have asked ridhimma to support my home team for her good. 😛

Poor ISH . He would have been pretty disappointed after his team lost so miserably 😛 . i know it wouldn’t have affected his AIEEE paper but still lets hope he writes it well 🙂 . Kolkata riders supposedly better team due to its bowling line up looked lame from the very first ball . I must say 147 odd runs were quite less compared to the standard of batting this tournament has generated .Thanks to the three wicket haul by jacob oram. Other wise he had a very ordinary tournament till now .I had a lot of expectations from him when chennai bought him. Anyways better late than never atleast he performed 🙂 . With the likes of dhoni hayden and hussey defending this target was never going to be easy but i never thought the chennai kings will win this comfortably . Hayden looked in ominous touch which seemed pretty clearly when he had hit six of ishant’s good length delivery .it was hayden’s second consecutive 50 that helped chennai super kings to register their 3rd consecutive victory thus making them the only unbeatable side 🙂 .Dhoni joined the party too with 43 of just 27 balls with 2 huge hits .Which ofcourse marked dhoni’s usual way of getting the victory runs by hitting a six .

Well ,ain’t i happy to see chennai kings roaring their way up to the points table ??? Though the team doesnt look as formidable as other teams like deccan challenger look i still feel the balance is very much present in chennai team and i wouldn’t be surprised to see my team right there in the finals of the very first IPL tournomanet and i hope kolkata knight riders reach the finals too because thats the only other team i am suporting and also because i want to see chennai super kings kick knight riders a** once again 😀

INDIA ON A ROLL – Twenty 20 cricket at its BEST

What a match it was ? India finally managed to win over the Aussies after 20 years in a world cup to reach the finals head to head against India’s favorite opponents in the game PAKISTAN.

India had managed to score 189 runs in the prescribed 20 overs . The start was a bit rusty with sehwag asking for a runner ,50 odd runs in first 9 overs was not what should be expected in a 20 20 game format that too verses the formidable team like Aussies . Thanks to the brilliant awe inspiring know by yuvraj which helped india to make a decent total.Uthappa too played his part well and i guess he is just the kid of player 20 20 format needs. Dhoni played the cameo with his powerful shots that gave india the perfect finish.

Any score agaisnt australia can’t be considered enough .With the batting depth they have and the habit of winning mathces made look india the least favourites to win the match. That proved out to be almost correct ,thanks to the last 3 overs that turned the match. India kept picking wickets at the most crucial stages of the game and with ponting missing in the team midde order was a bit sensitive. Symonds and hayden nearly took the game away from india ,thanks to srishanth and harbajan who picked their wickets when badly needed. Their wickets were the turning point of the match according to me.

With a relatively new team , missing the mail 3 seniors,india’s road to the finals has been incredible . India has played like champions ever since the bowl out match verses pakistan.Ofcourse the match agaisnt new zeland was a heart break for the fans ,after making a breath taking 76 of just 6 overs.Match agaisnt England was the best match of the series . Yuvraj’s 6 sixes in an over after a small muddle with flintoff was the highlight .That match too was a nail biter. South Africa managed to keep its reputation as chokers ,loosing the matches when it mattered the most . India Bowling was one of the best i have ever seen leaving the extras that sreeshanth gave :P. And Finally the last hurdle too has been crossed . I dont know why but it feels so glad and ecstatic to beat Aussies. The very first words that came into my mind when symonds was out was “fuck off” ,i was more happy aussie losing than India winning. May be because of the domination that australians have been able to exert on the mordern cricket. I guess its time that somebody like India 🙂 takes on from here.

I just cant wait to see the finals,INIDA VERSES PAKISTAN  the  best finals cricket fans can ever witness.Just imagine the crowds that is going to  rush into the ground.. With both the teams in great form another nail biting game is on the cards.
