Ummm… Hiiii …

Bloody hell !! I have been staring my computer screen for almost 10 minutes now, just thinking how to start this post. I suppose you cant expect anything better when u are not blogging for almost a year and half.  Believe it or not , i logged in to my account after almost a year and for the last 1 hour have been moderating around 500 odd comments ,around 300 still waiting for my approval 😛 and yeah 80 percent of them make no sense anyway:) . Gosh! People are still crazy about hacking and counter strike 🙂 , thanks to them no of visitors to my blog has increased by around 1 Lakh since i left it 😛 .

Well,  I guess i need to get rid of my writer’s block somehow. This is totally insane , although i want to write , its like i am just out of words . I suppose this is what happens when You don’t write anything for a  year. You just end up like this drafting some gibberish Post . Anyways there’s always a chance to start afresh, and here i am trying to make some sense out of this senseless post 😛 .

There are actually  a lot of things i could share with you here. Its been almost 20 months since i stepped into my professional life and i  have just started to get the Kick of corporate life 🙂 .  Damn! Now Dont i miss my college life ? 😦 . leave the money factor ,ofcourse, I would always opt for college again 🙂 .I have bought myself a New mobile , a Brand new Micromax Q2 . I thought of buying a Iphone but ended up buying a Micromax set which ofcourse costs 1 Zero Less than than the former one and Since my sony W810 stopped working my Dad is quite sure that I cant handle anything properly and he somehow managed to persuade me in buying this Cheap Blackberry Remake 🙂 . And Yes, I bought a New Bike too , the new HONDA CB TWISTER and I am just loving it :).

Quite Ironic to say , ever since i stopped writing  posts supporting the Indian Cricket team, It has come a long way to become No1 Test Team . Now that’s something interesting isn’t it ?? hehe. Well , Honestly , Sachin Scoring a Double hundred, Chennai super Kings winning the IPL3  and then champions trophy i think i have missed a lot of entertainment here as far as cricket is concerned. Its just not Cricket that i missed, there have been hell lot of other things like those Witty tags that we used to do, those calvin and hobbes strips , those hilarious posts especially by Nikhil and a lot more .

Well, I wont promise but i guess i would try to be as regular as possible from now and Yeah, Did i say that i saw Enthiran (ROBOT) yesterday and i kinda liked so might just be able to review it in couple of days.

And To my regular Readers (those days 😉  )  How are you Guys ?? Hope You have been regularly updating your  blogs unlike me .  The Very thought of opening my google reader scares me . I guess there would be thousands of posts waiting for me, half of them from our Vishesh Ofcourse 🙂 . Anyways   would be catching up with those slowly .

OMG!! Tomorrow is Monday , Possibly the worst days to work 😦 so i need to hit my bed , its already 11:30 PM .  Wait a sec, Let me  switch on the TV first i just realized that i have been missing the HELL IN CELL telecast in TEN SPORTS 🙂 ,  So thats it for now,  The Entertainment Blog is ON once again 😀 .

Cricket !!! What else ??

A 5-0 series white wash  against India in their own den would have been disastrous for the lankan lions. Thanks to some lousy bowling from indian bowlers and really stupid selection of shots , Sri lanka has been able to save a little pride by winning atleast the last one day match of the series .

India sure is on a roll and i have never been so optimistic about the current cricket team  . Yeah its the  same me who use to talk about the enigmatic indian cricket team and i still stand by my words . Anyways ,lets not talk about that 😛 . 5-0 against england and 4-1 here in srilanka is laudable effort considering the team without ganguly,dravid ,harbhajan and even sachin (if u consider that he dint score in two digits in the series 😛 ) . The best part being that they have been able to win convincingly and comfortably (Second one dayer was an exception ofcourse ). First time TEAM INDIA is starting to show its real meaning because the team is playing as a unit as for the first time ,not depending upon a individual.

Last couple of months have been quite exciting for Cricket fans like me .Indian cricket team is on second position in ICC cricket ratings for the first time . Yes , for the first time and thats quite a shocker isnt it  ??.A country like  ours  which has given so many great legends to the sport like kapil dev ,sunil gavanskar ,sachin tendulkar ,bishen singh bedi etc , has never been able to reach the second position leave alone the first place . Better Late than never now that we are in 2 , the no1 spot is just a series away . Touchwood 😉

South african team becoming  the no. 1 team and australia moving to 3rd place , Sounds so good rite ?? I mean i was sick of seeing a perfect side like australians had 😉 .  I am really happy to see the fall of the mighty australian side .Yes they were the best team and played some fabulous cricket over last decade but then they could never gain my respect ,may be because they were a proud team and had an acute superiority complex . MR . Ponting – i know it must be paining a lot .but thats the way it is . Higher you go , Harder you fall !! 😀

Coming to IPL seasons II , I wonder if the last two letters mean Paisa Lutaao . These so called business tycoons with their so called Girl freinds / cine stars are spending money like hell . The news channels have already raised questions if spending this much is necessary during recession times . I guess ITs there money and and they can very well spend that and i am sure they will get huge returns for that . Thats why they are investing it . So simple logic 😛 . All i feel sad for  now is that my DAD is not a Cricketer 😛 . If he was one i would have been one too and that way  i would have  made so much money by now 😛 and instead of posting a blog post , i would have released a book . I would have been famous . Not to mention that i would have become  a heart throb among the indian girls by now 😛 .. and then…….wait a minute i have gone way off the track .. .So where was I ,.. yeah IPL . So I was saying IPL is really merry making time for cricketers . Take for example Peterson and Flintoff , they are getting 1.55 million dollars for 3 weeks .. and Mortaza , the guy from bangladesh valued at 50,000 dollars was auctioned at 650,000 $ ,more than 10 times his value . like we say in tamil ..

Anyways  lets forget about money . All i want to say is that i cant wait to watch these guys come out and play .

SHABBASH INDIA

Team india  is on a roll. Series win against Australia made them the top contenders to replace worlds best team and now with this improbable win we have just proved that we are almost there .Yes , All we need to do now is to conquer srilankan lions in their own den and to keep up the winning rate abroad.

Mondays win was a special  one. Very special indeed . After those gruesme terror attacks, atleast cricket lovers like me have something to cheer abut. Winning on home soil is no new thing for us . I dont think india had any chances of winning the game till 4th day post lunch session . India was facing a defeat that looked more or less inevitable . Chasing more than 350 runs in the fourth innings n a fifth day pitch is not an easy task .But the brilliant knock by sehwag set opened up the game against all dds . Time and again sehwag has proved how imprtant he is for this indian line up . What t osay about sachin. !! He is  GD . Yes , cricket is a relegion for me like millions f  others and sachin is my GoD . Scoring his 41st hundred through the last winning strke made my day  😀 . I mean  i was tired to see him getting out in 90s. He would have Got more than 100 international hundreds in DI and test combined if he had not been out in 90s . Yuvaraj as usual played his natural game and thats what made easy fr him t scre runs quickly .

.The test has brought in lot of positives fr the indian cricket TEAM. it showed the temperament ,fighting spirit and ability of  indian cricket team to win under any circumstances  .After australia i dont think any team has dominated us in a test  on home soil. England did really well to control 70 percent of the test .They had almost  won the test . Just one session took the game away from them .Strauss played exceptionally well . Hitting two centuries in a same test in n kids job that to in subcontinent.

All in all  it was a wonderfull test match . The best thing was after a long time there was a result in a test match played in chennai 😛 . I just hope our team conitnues the gd form and replace australia as the worlds best team soon 🙂 .

OFF TOPIC :

This is my 200th post . Gosh !! I never thought i would make it this long . Blogging which started as a tool to kill time has become an obsession now . Although i am not posting as regularly as i was , it still remains an important part of my life .

GANGULY TO BID ADIEU

After almost 2 years of speculation among the cricket fans ganguly finally decides to call it a day  from test cricket. Yes , but that’s only after the India Australia series gets over . Anyways this is the best time he could do it .Considering the current Australian team as the weakest ever ,wouldn’t it be great for the former  captain to end his career on a winning note .

Speaking of his career in test cricket ,Prince of kolkatta had the best starts any player would dream of . A century in his debut test against england in 1996  marked the emergence of one of the best players india has produced not to forget that he has been the most successful Indian captain abroad .

Ganguly has been unable to keep a permanent spot in the Indian squad ever since the greg-ganguly saga in 2005 . There has been a constant pressure on him from former players , anit-ganguly cricket fans and ofcourse the media . Everyone knows the hype that these news channels create and its a feast for them when it comes to cricket. Media has been a little too harsh on him . Ok He was not playing well , but that doesn’t mean u will make his life even more miserable . Even a week back i saw a poll in one of the news channels

Would u want the senior players to retire one by one or in a single go ???

now Isnt it a silly question ?? …. of course there are lots of  lame polls like this  but this seemed more off track . Who are Media to decide when a  player should retire ?? People forget these were the once  main pillars of indian cricket team when batting was considered the main strength of indian cricket team . Dont they even have a personal choice of ending their career at their own will .

Being a Die hard sachin fan its depressing to hear people who have done nothing advising sachin to retire . I mean its totally weird to give advice to a guy who has over 25000 runs in international cricket ,who is considered the best next only to the legend sir donald bradman .I just wish people would let players decide themselves  If u cant support them during their lean patch plz dont make it worse .

Now thats a decent ,perhaps more than a decent record and i remember his one day average at about 46 once before his bad patch started .

You support him or not  but the moments he gave us will be fresh for every cricket fan . i dont think anyone will ever forget the special moment when india won the natwest series in England . The next best highlight of the finals after the matching winning partership between yuvaraj and kaif was  the way sourav reacted  by removing his Tshirt and waved it 😀 .

I am sure if not for the resentment around him he would have at least hoped to play for a couple of years after all he was back in form after sitting out of the team for a year and a half . Otherwise why would a man who said 2 weeks back would suddenly make a decision to quit .

Anyways I just wish him Good luck for his future .

CHENNAI KINGS RIDE OVER THE KOLKATA KNIGHTS

Well , somebody do something before my blog turns entirely into a sports blog 😛 .That was not what i had in my mind while starting this blog 😉 Anyhow cricket is at its best now , not exactly the same old gentelemen’s game but then who cares ?? 🙂 until the game is interesting and has a lot of hot firangi chicks cheering for the game 😆 .

The fact that cricket is not ruhi ‘s cup of tea and she wouldn’t be commenting again makes me sad 😦 she has got this new domain of hers has a pretty decent and neat theme.She has been complaining that i am writng just cricket cricket and cricket : P .Well i really cant help posting abt cricket. Now coming back to the actual content of the post 😛 the match between the knight riders and chennai super kings . The game for which i was eagerly waiting for, perhaps ,many others too . YES ,the battle of the titans . I couldn’t see the the first half of the match live because i had placement and scholarship distribution function in my college 😦 . but yes i did see the highlights part of it and i must say the match turned out to be one sided one .

None of my fellow bloggers are having a good IPL experieance . Ridhimma seems to be in deppression atleast thats what she is saying . All because of her home team could not register even one win till now 😉 . Nothings going right for mumbai team sachin is injured ,jayasurya is not doing anything great and adding to the injury harbhajan has started his usual controversy now in india by slapping sreeshant (the same guy who stares at batsman even when he is hit for a six , was seen to be crying uncontrollably ).Anyways , i have asked ridhimma to support my home team for her good. 😛

Poor ISH . He would have been pretty disappointed after his team lost so miserably 😛 . i know it wouldn’t have affected his AIEEE paper but still lets hope he writes it well 🙂 . Kolkata riders supposedly better team due to its bowling line up looked lame from the very first ball . I must say 147 odd runs were quite less compared to the standard of batting this tournament has generated .Thanks to the three wicket haul by jacob oram. Other wise he had a very ordinary tournament till now .I had a lot of expectations from him when chennai bought him. Anyways better late than never atleast he performed 🙂 . With the likes of dhoni hayden and hussey defending this target was never going to be easy but i never thought the chennai kings will win this comfortably . Hayden looked in ominous touch which seemed pretty clearly when he had hit six of ishant’s good length delivery .it was hayden’s second consecutive 50 that helped chennai super kings to register their 3rd consecutive victory thus making them the only unbeatable side 🙂 .Dhoni joined the party too with 43 of just 27 balls with 2 huge hits .Which ofcourse marked dhoni’s usual way of getting the victory runs by hitting a six .

Well ,ain’t i happy to see chennai kings roaring their way up to the points table ??? Though the team doesnt look as formidable as other teams like deccan challenger look i still feel the balance is very much present in chennai team and i wouldn’t be surprised to see my team right there in the finals of the very first IPL tournomanet and i hope kolkata knight riders reach the finals too because thats the only other team i am suporting and also because i want to see chennai super kings kick knight riders a** once again 😀
